5. Samsung M31
Display: 6.4 inch. FHD+ 60hz Amoled
Processer: Exynos 9611
Battery: 6000mAh with 15-watt charger
Rear Camera: 64 + 8 + 5 + 5 megapixels quad camera
Front Camera: 32 megapixels
The Samsung M31 is the best phone under 20000 if you are a non-china sentiment and you need a phone with a massive battery for watching social media content. The downside is that with the battery you get a comparatively slow 15-watt charger in the box which may take over 2 hours to charge this device. The camera is good, but it struggles to capture photos at night. The front 32mp camera is also good with capturing detailed selfies. The Exynos 9611 SoC processor is not as powerful as the Snapdragon 720G powering the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and the Realme 6 Pro but it is capable of handling day-to-day tasks with ease. The battery is the highlight of the Galaxy M31 as it can outrun most devices on this list. The M31 has a polycarbonate back as well as a plastic frame .
4. Realme 7
Display: 6.5-inch FHD + 90hz IPS LCD
Processer: MediaTek Helio G95
Battery: 5000mAh with 30-watt Dart charger
Rear Camera: 64 + 8+ 2+2megapixels quad camera
Front Camera: 16 megapixels
The Realme 7 brings in three main upgrades over the Realme 6 — a new SoC processor, a bigger battery, and a new primary camera sensor. The Realme 7 is actually thicker (9.4mm) and heavier (196.5g) than Realme 6, due to its larger battery, and this is very noticeable in its daily usage.
The Realme 7 is the first phone to debut with the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC processor. This is an updated version of the Helio G90T processor which was seen in Realme 6, but it’s not a major upgrade. Performance is pretty satisfactory. The Realme 7 is good with games too.
The Realme 7 gets a chunky 5000mAh battery and you can charge the battery fairly quickly too, thanks to the 30w Dart Charge fast charging.
3. Motorola One Fusion +
Display: 6.5-inch FHD+ 60 IPS LCD
Processor: Snapdragon 730G
Battery: 5000mAh with 18-watt charger
Rear Camera: 64mp+8mp+5mp+2mp
Front Camera: 16mp
The Motorola One Fusion+ is a mid-range offering from the company. This smartphone is among the very few devices to sport a pop-up selfie camera. As a result, it has an all-screen front without any notch or hole-punch in its way. The 6.5 inch display on the Motorola One Fusion+ is an IPS panel and does not give colours as punchy as amoled . Motorola has also added a loud bottom-firing speaker which is loud but has decent quality .
Powering the Motorola One Fusion+ is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor which is capable of handling day to day tasks as well as gaming with ease. It can manage heavy games at high settings without any issues. The One Fusion+ also packs in a big 5000mAh battery which delivers excellent battery life. Charging isn’t the fastest using the supplied 18W charger but the phone takes around 2 hours to charge completely.
Motorola ships the One Fusion+ with stock Android which isn’t very common. It is easy to get used to this device. There is no bloatware on this device. It manages good photos in daylight. The macro camera also delivers a good output. In lowlight, the camera performance is average but it improves drastically with night mode enabled. The camera however does not produce good quality photos at night.
2. Realme 7 pro
Display: 6.4 inch FHD+Amoled
Processer: Snapdragon 720G
Battery: 4500mAh with 65 watt Super Dart charger
Rear Camera: 64mp + 8mp+ 2mp+ 2mp
Front Camera: 32mp
The Realme 7 Pro is the successor to the Realme 6 Pro, boasting of big upgrades such as an AMOLED display, stereo speakers, and 65W fast charging. The Realme 7 Pro is slimmer (8.7mm) and lighter (182g) even compared to the Realme 6 Pro as the glass back has been replaced. Sadly this phone ditches one big feature from the Realme 6 Pro, and that’s a high screen refresh rate. As a result, the end product is a phone with a reduced cost .
The Realme 7 Pro performs well as it features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC processor as the 6 Pro. The Super AMOLED display is great for watching videos on, and the experience is enhanced by the stereo speakers. There’s a 4500 mAh battery in the Realme 7 Pro, which on average easily lasted for more than one day starting on a full charge.
The photos taken in daylight generally looks good. HDR was handled well, details were good, and colours looked natural. Low-light photos were decent, without much visible grain, and details were fairly good even in darker regions.
1. Poco X2
Display: 6.67inch FHD+IPS LCD. Processor: Snapdragon 730G
Battery: 4500mAh with 27w charger
Rear Camera: 64mp + 8mp+2mp+2mp
Front Camera: 20mp + 2mp
The Poco X2 offers good value for money, with specifications and capabilities that few other companies can match in the sub Rs. 20,000 market. You get a large 6.67-inch screen with dual front cameras embedded in a cutout in the top-right corner. The display is bright, and supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Performance is very good thanks to the Snapdragon 730G processor, and you can get up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage for less than Rs. 20,000. It takes very good stills during daytime. The night mode also helped low-light photos look good. The wide-angle and macro cameras are less useful but still nice to have. Daytime videos looked good, but quality suffered a lot at night, especially when recording at 4K. Battery can last an entire day. The phone charges in about 1 hr 20 mins with a 27 watt fast charger that is shipped with the phone.
